Art therapy encourages clients to express emotion and explore their problems using a wide range of art materials, enabling positive change and personal growth.Consults with clinical supervisor, psychiatrist, clinic peers or other specialist(s) concerning treatment plan, and plans as appropriate or necessary. May also change method and degree of therapy when indicated by client progress. Discuss progress towards goals with client.
Requirements: Master's degree (MSW, LCSW, MA, or MS, Psy.D, Ph.D, Psych Assistant or Registered Intern) with a minimum of one (1) year clinical experience. May include internship. First consideration given to qualified candidates with knowledge of/or previous experience working in substance abuse and mental health services. Experience providing cultural competent clinical/therapeutic counseling, interviewing groups and families. Knowledge of assessments and various clinical duties. Experience with intake assessment and education. Bilingual a plus.
